Welcome to the St Edmund`s College Rugby Website.
St Edmund`s has a fine reputation as one of the premier Rugby Schools in Australia. The College has won the Waratah Shield, regarded as the most prestigious schoolboy knockout competition in New South Wales.
This year the College has over 480 registered boys playing rugby, from under 10`s through to under 18`s.
The College has also had a number of its students go on to become State and Wallaby representatives. These include; Dave Grimmond, Matthew Pini, Mark McInnes, Ricky Stuart , Matt Giteau, Saia Faingaa, Anthony Faingaa, Tyrone Smith and of course, Canberra`s favourite rugby son, George Gregan. The College has also produced International representatives in the Rugby League arena, those being David Furner and Luke Priddis.
On the local front, the College has enjoyed immeasurable success with the ACT Junior Rugby Union Teams, with each age group consistently being represented by boys from St Edmund`s.
On behalf of the School Board, teachers, parents and players, we welcome you once again to the website, and hope you enjoy our team profiles, match wrap-ups and photos of our future Australian Champions.
